Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC)

Entry Requirements for Returning to Phuket in 2025: Everything You Need to Know

If you’re planning a return trip to Phuket in 2025, it’s essential to stay updated on the latest travel and immigration requirements to ensure a smooth, stress-free journey. Thailand has implemented significant changes to its entry process, focusing on enhanced security, convenience, and public health. One of the most important developments is the introduction of the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC).

Introduction of the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC)

As of May 1, 2025, all non-Thai nationals entering Thailand—whether by air, land, or sea—are required to complete the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) online prior to their arrival. This digital system replaces the old paper-based TM6 arrival card and marks a major step in modernizing Thailand’s immigration procedures.

What is the TDAC?

The TDAC is a mandatory electronic entry form designed to collect essential travel and personal information. This data is then integrated into Thailand’s biometric database for security and efficient processing. Travelers will need to provide:

  • Personal details(name, nationality, date of birth)
  • Passport information
  • Travel itinerary
  • Accommodation details in Thailand
  • Health declarations(recent travel history, symptoms, vaccination)

When and How to Complete the TDAC

  • Timing: Complete the TDAC within 72 hoursbefore your arrival.
  • Submission: Visit the official Thailand Immigration Bureau website. https://www.immigration.go.th/
  • Confirmation: Upon successful submission, you’ll receive a QR code, which must be presented at immigration.

Important: The TDAC is completely free of charge. Avoid third-party websites that may attempt to charge you.

Who Must Submit the TDAC?

The TDAC is required for all foreign nationals, with the following exceptions:

  • Transit passengers who do not pass through immigration
  • Travelers using a Border Pass

How the TDAC System Works

The TDAC system allows two types of submissions:

  • Individual Submission– for solo travelers

Travelers can update submitted information prior to travel, offering flexibility in case of changes.
