A beautiful natural place to explore. It’s located in Thalang District, on the central-northeast side of the island. Khao Pra Thaeo is quite big, about 23 square kilometers, and it’s full of lush greenery.
Khao Pra Thaeo is like a safe haven for many different kinds of animals, like langurs, barking deer, mouse deer, bears, wild boars, monkeys, and gibbons. There are also around a hundred different types of birds living in the park’s forests.
After a fun and interesting 3 hours walk, you will get to have a yummy lunch at a restaurant that serves Northern-style food. It’ll be a chance to try some authentic dishes that will make your taste buds happy.
But the adventure doesn’t stop here! You’ll also visit an elephant camp. Here you can get up close to these amazing animals. You can give them food, pat them gently, and even join the fun of giving them a shower with water spray.
Itinerary
- 9:00 Depart from the hotel
- 9:30 Start walking the trail at Khao Pra Thaeo Non-Hunting area for 3.5 km.
- 12:30 Lunch at a restaurant that serves Northern-style food (lunch not included)
- 14:00 Visit Elephant Camp
- 15:00 Leave the Elephant Camp
- 15:30 Return to the hotel.

- This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

An accident insurance policy is obligatory, any valid claims can only be considered within the limits of the stated amount in the policy under the law of Thailand.
